Anthropic just dropped a batch of new app connectors for Claude, and this time they’re not about Slack or Microsoft Teams. The company is pushing into personal territory — think Spotify, Uber Eats, AllTrails, TripAdvisor, Instacart, TurboTax, and even Audible.
Some of these, like Spotify, already have similar integrations in ChatGPT. But the move signals that Anthropic wants Claude to feel less like a work-only assistant and more like something you’d actually use to plan a weekend or order dinner.
Once you connect an app, Claude will suggest it contextually. If you’re chatting about hiking trails, it might pop up AllTrails. If you mention a dinner plan, Instacart or Uber Eats could appear. It’s not revolutionary — it’s basically what you’d expect from a modern assistant — but the execution matters.
What I find interesting is the range. AllTrails and TripAdvisor make sense for travel and outdoor types. TurboTax is a bold move — letting an AI near your tax data is a leap of faith most people probably aren’t ready for. Audible and Spotify are low-risk, high-reward integrations that make Claude feel more like a daily companion than a productivity tool.
Of course, this also means Claude will have access to more of your personal data. Anthropic has been relatively transparent about privacy, but connecting your tax software or grocery delivery habits is a different level of trust. I’d want to see clear, granular controls over what each app can access and when.

The timing makes sense. OpenAI has been expanding ChatGPT’s plugin ecosystem for a while, and Anthropic needs to keep pace if it wants Claude to be a serious competitor in the consumer space. But more connectors also means more surface area for bugs or misuse.
I’m curious to see how many people actually connect their TurboTax or Instacart accounts. The Spotify and Uber integrations feel like no-brainers. The others? We’ll see. Either way, this is a clear step toward making Claude a more holistic assistant — whether you’re working, shopping, or just trying to find a good trail for a Saturday hike.
